Mission duration edit

NASA gives:[1]

  • Launch time: October 29, 1998, 2:19:34 p.m. EST (=19:19 UTC)
  • Landing time: November 7, 1998, 12:04:00 p.m. EST (=17:04 UTC)
  • Mission Duration: 9 days, 19 hours, 54 minutes, 2 seconds

Something is obviously very wrong with this; subtracting the launch date/time from that of the landing gives a mission duration of 8 days, 21 hours, 44 minutes and 26 seconds. All three cannot be correct. --W. D. Graham 23:15, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The mission duration on the NASA page is definitely wrong, although the launch and landing dates are correct. I just went over some media footage of both the launch and landing of STS-95 and they back up those times on the NASA site.--Jupiter-4 (talk) 04:26, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Section “Medical experiments on Glenn” edit

The latter part of this section doesn’t have anything to do with medical experiments; I’m separating it out into “Trivia”. Also, describing Glenn as “the fifth American politician to fly in space” makes no sense—if Schmitt and Swigert count because they entered politics later in life, surely Mercury-Atlas 6 makes Glenn the first American politician to do so. I’m rewriting the section to avoid the ambiguity. Chronodm (talk) 22:23, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
