The paragraph beginning "In September 1950, Prince George collided" describes a 1951 collision between the Prince Rupert (not the Prince George) and the princess Kathleen (see The Pacific Princesses, by Robert Turner, page 193 and following, Sono Nis Press). The Princess Kathleen was not in service in September 1950 so could not have collided with the Prince George (see Times Colonist 29 August 1950 page 15). I have removed the paragraph from the article.
