His possible birthdate - based on 6th birthday video

Why wouldn't anyone take this as proof enough of his birthdate?

The fact that a video was uploaded on a day doesn't mean it is his birthday. Birthday videos from previous years linked in the description of the video you gave were on different days. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:50, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Any information about the involvement of Child Protection Services?

The lad is exploited hard, his family released over 1200 videos of him. Many were deleted about a half year ago as the things they were making the boy do are borderline child abuse, similar to what children were made to do by some other channels that YouTube has closed completely. The boy needs to get a proper education, and with everyday multi-hour filming schedule and promotional activities, it is not quite possible (they do take a lot of time). 93.185.19.9 (talk) 15:49, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Additionally, it's legal (in the US, and probably other places) for a child to work in the entertainment industry at any age, unlike other jobs. I've never heard about this channel being targeted by the Child Protection Services for investigation or something. 134.215.190.243 (talk)

When viewing the page, there are two references [5] (last paragraph of section Background) and [6] (first paragraph of section Legacy) to the same external link. Seems some auto-generating thing is not working properly?

When I went to edit the page to fix this, the references become [1] and [2]!? So I didn't touch it.

Pocket.watch association

The characterization of Ryan's association with pocket.watch appears inaccurate. There is no reliable source that indicates he is part of a pocket.watch "Network". Pocket.watch has never characterized itself as an MCN. And the "Presented by" designation implies that the company owns the channel or is instrumental in its operation, neither of which has basis in reliable sources. Don't know what you mean, but he says it in a video if you needed the source for that statement. Unreliable origins story

The article says "Kaji began making YouTube videos in March 2015 after watching other toy review channels and asking his mother, "How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?" -- but not to be just a PR release, the article should clearly state that it is the mother who is telling this story. 93.185.31.161 (talk) 23:17, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

The page states that Ryan's father Shion Kaji is "the son of a microchip executive." without any supporting references.

In fact I struggle to find information about Shion Kaji that isn't related to the 'Ryan's World' brand; Let alone if he was the son of an executive. Error117 (talk) 21:15, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

Shion Kaji + Ryan's Age

As seen in almost all Ryan's Real life videos and even "Combo Panda", "Shean' or "Shawn" is the father of Ryan. Since he is from Japan, "Shion" could be A latinization of "Shean" in Japanese script.

In other terms, Ryan is 12 years old and will be 13 next fall. I beleive his birthday should'nt be revealed as he is still under the legal age of COPPA to not have data collected on him. Iidrlais (talk) 17:20, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
