Name of Gerace edit

The following statement occurs in the article, "The name Gerace is probably derived from Saint Cyriaca..." The Latin name of the diocese (Hieracensis), however, points to the Greek word hiera- ('holy, sacred'), not to Cyriaca (in Greek: Kyria-, 'lady'). Due to POV Catholic interpretation in the Catholic Encyclopedia a very pious folk etymology has been taken seriously. Since it is of no importance to the article, I suggest the sentence be deleted as unreferenced trivia. --Vicedomino (talk) 06:19, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

The orginal 'Lady' of Locri was the Goddess Persephone, the Queen of Hades, whose name was taboo, lest she be summoned by its use. She was called 'Kore' or 'Kyria'.
