Desegregation of the Army edit

Untitled edit

I was rearranging some stuff. Someone inserted a part about desegregation and made it sound like the Goldwater-Nichols act of 1986 desegregated the Army. I left out a sentence that implied that he was being considered for a supreme court vacancy. If someone has a citation for that, I would be fine with that.

Notes on desegregation of the Army Air Force are from a document Survey and Recommendations Concerning the Integration of the Negro Soldier Into the Army September 22, 1941, by Robert P. Patterson (then undersecretary of war) which is in the Truman Library.
