(American Academy) edit

"In October 2007, Robert Caro was a "Holtzbrinck Distinguished Visitor" at the American Academy in Berlin, Germany." -> AFAIK, he wasn't. He could not come to Germany as he had the unique opportunity to interview a contemporary of Lyndon Johnson's. Can anybody confirm this? ~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.191.20.77 (talk) 08:58, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date of Birth edit

Was he born on October 30 or July 30? The article text and the side-panel say different dates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.232.88.116 (talk) 20:24, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ina's interview edit

Ina mentioned on Charley Rose tonite the work of their son, an artist or filmmaker IIRC. May not yet be notable for a bio, but probably should be mentioned under Family.
She also told a wonderful (not necessarily encyclopedic) story of going to a Princeton party at age 16 (she's about 80 now?), on a double-date as the partner of a Princeton student, seeing Caro for the first time there, across the room, and telling the other woman of the double date, "that's the man I'll marry". Presumably this, at least, is in her '11 June book that the article mentions and she was puffing in the interview.

Pronunciation of name? edit

Cay-ro? Cah-ro? Care-o? Maybe somebody who knows will add this rather important fact. 173.21.54.229 (talk) 20:13, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mother's maiden name edit

Under Life and Career, the first sentence reads: Current: "Caro was born in New York City, the son of Celia (née Mendelsohn)" Should be: "Caro was born in New York City, the son of Celia (née Mendelow)"

I am a second cousin of Robert Caro. His Grandfather was the brother of my Grandmother, so I know this as a relative. The article was correct until the error was introduced in an edit at 19:42 8 December by user Asparagirl. Fidd1er (talk) 07:26, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

"New York" documentary film edit

I've enjoyed watching the extensive interview segments of Caro in Ric Burns' documentary film about New York (2001), so I was surprised to see it not mentioned in Caro's body of work here. JTWellington (talk) 03:25, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
