Short river

edit

Can we refer to a river as "one of the shortest", would have thought there are countless short rivers..? Better to say something like, "despite its short length" or "isn't among the longest"... Bogger (talk) 09:22, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I thought using the sentence "The Corrib may be one of Ireland's shortest rivers," would be appropriate, following on from the earlier paragraph where it says "The river is among the shortest in Europe, with only a length of six kilometres from the lough to the Atlantic". I agree that there must be scores of river/streams less than 10km in length, but your criticism should surely be of the earlier paragraph!Johnnyf1nn (talk) 22:18, 22 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
