This article's merger with Rishabh Dev is completed. Article Rishabh Dev redirects here. Chirags 23:10, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

We also need a merger with Aadinatha. --Qmwne235 00:14, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

When was this guy born? Can we have some biographical info? 24.18.146.152 01:30, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, there is no historical evidence of Rushabhdev's existence; he is, for the moment, a purely religious figure, although we Jains do believe he did exist. --Qmwne235 00:14, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dates completely wrong!

edit

Firstly, its Rsabha (Source: The Jains, 2nd Ed. Paul Dundas). Secondly, what are your sources for these dates. Rsabhadeva was born 3000 years BCE? Rsabha lived billions of years ago but more aptly an amount of time so far back that it is difficult to convey in words. Yes this conflicts with Science but this is the truth of Jainism.

Sources: Dhirubhai Pundit (Teacher of the Saddhus) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avsarpini (Your own article here states that Nami Nath was liberated 500,000 years ago [or is it 5,000? Regardless these times are not correct]).

rishabh not rishabha

edit

it isnt rishabha, its rishabh, we have to get all of that changed. samphex 01:35, 22 February 2007 (UTC) (i know- i'm a jain)Reply

Good article

edit

I am a Jain as well 1)Lord Adinath's mother was the first to attain moksha all Jains believe in this fact 2)Rishabha or Rishab are both correct 3)Use modern scientific dates only for events occuring after birth of Nemi Nath

Nirvan Sthal

Bhagawan Rishabha attained moksha at KailashGiri (Mount Kailash) not at Palitana. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.139.97.4 (talk) 12:32, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I believe that Bhagwan Rishabh stayed hungry for 6 months and not for a year as described in the document.
