This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because see German article that I wrote about the photographer. I will finish this page today--The writing mombie (talk) 05:21, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Page finished.

Please don't delete. I had the article done in German (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Bernabe), but on the English wiki. Someone was kind enough to move it for me, where it got approved. Yesterday night (German time) I started to translate it, but then got too tired (I am sick) and this morning I found the "speedy deletion". I finished the article, pictures will be added next week. Please reconsider the speedy deletion. Thank you! --The writing mombie (talk) 05:45, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

@The writing mombie: I have removed the deletion tag, as Richard Barnabe has several mentions in a Google News search, including articles he has written for Popular Photography including this and [1], plus there is this Huffington Post piece. Not sure if that's sufficient on its own to write a good, in-depth an article, but easily enough to halt a speedy. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:57, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
... and please don't revert edits with no discussion. In my view, the original edits contained too much puffery for a biography of a living person and the article has a much greater chance of surviving a deletion discussion if it is written in a neutral manner. I just wrote something but couldnt publish it since you wrote the above thing in the same time! So, PLEASE leave me 5 minutes. I said thank for your advice and the deletion of the tag but I am not ok with your editorial changes since it also changed the whole meaning of the sentences. Like that, it was simply a wrong statement. He is a photographer and an author and NOT a journalist. Thank you though.--The writing mombie (talk) 13:17, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I will definately consider the links that you posted though. Thank you for your research. --The writing mombie (talk) 13:19, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Okay, in the meantime it might be worth having a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch, as there are several classes of words such as "greatest", "internationally known" or "famous" that are frowned upon by the Wikipedia community, but aren't necessarily obvious to newcomers. This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Mr Richard Bernabe has been an important part of the arts of the 21. century - meaning he has been giving many impulses within the fields of photography (mainly by sharing his photos online in real time) and has been teaching a significant amount of art students etc. Anyone who kows a bit about arts knows to appreciate this. Also, in my opinion (and I am surely not the only one! - there should be many more articles about photographers of our (fast moving) times, since they capture as well the beauty as the cruelty of this world. Thank you. --The writing mombie (talk) 17:08, 29 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
