Nothing OBVIOUS ABOUT YOUR STATEMENT.

That Novak trip was not the first to CIRCUMNAVIGATE AFRICA ON A BICYCLE. It is a legend about him travelling ACROSS Africa, without exact proof or detail. Huge difference from a accurately recorded journey. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.6.7.228 (talk) 07:15, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, I have the photo-album titled "Through the Black Continent" (Warsaw, 1962) with 335 photographs by Kazimierz Nowak, chosen from more than 2000 his negatives by Nowak's daughter Elżbieta Nowak-Gliszewska, after selection-consultation with well-known academic professors Jan Czekanowski and Jerzy Loth.

Secondly, I have also the book "Through the Black Continent by bicycle and afoot. Letters from African voyage, 1931-1936" (Poznań, 2008) with the letters written by Kazimierz Nowak to his wife during his great trip, and selected by Łukasz Wierzbicki, who in turn had heard about Nowak from his own grandfather, and who also dedicated part of his life to make Nowak's trip famous. Wierzbicki has travelled to Nowak's descendant, has read his letters and has chosen photographs, and released those second book with the Sorus publishing house.

Another book I have in hand is "Poland of the Kazimierz Nowak" (Poznań, 2011) written by the reporter Jacek Y. Łuczak, also published by Sorus, which book contains the list (and descriptions) of many Nowak's readouts-lectures which he made in Poland after his return from Africa.

There are also many his articles in Polish and foreign travelling magazines. There are people living in Poland remembering Nowak's lectures. Even in Africa still walk people which remembered Kazimierz Nowak, they were met during XXI century expeditions. Also the person with the honour, reporter respected all over the World, Ryszard Kapuściński has commend about Kazimierz Nowak's unusual achievement and his reportages.

Summarizing, there are several proofs about Nowak's long journey and claims that it is just a legend or a myth, are not the truth and being disrecpect for Polish people.

Please be no more ignorant, look at the photograph attached below, this is one of the proofs. I've just translated the announcement especially for you:

The definition of circumnavigate is to " go all around" something. It might me that Nowak traveled to many African countries but it does not mean he did so in a circle, i.e around Africa.

In your own article posted above the title is " Two times ACROSS the Africa". So even on your own version you are wrong.

Traveling Across and Around are two different things.

I have all the needed facts and sources for this page and would like to edit it so that it is factual and includes all information to date. Please can someone assist me in doing so. I specifically battle with editor undoing the changes I have already made with no comments on why this was done.
