The result of the move request was: moved per request. The reference to WP:NCM carries the day, but please enlighten me: what does WP:NBC have to do with it? Favonian (talk) 22:31, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Requiem (Karl Jenkins) → Requiem (Jenkins) – per WP:NCM, Requiem (Jenkins) should be main title of the article about the work instead of redirecting to the associated Album. FordPrefect42 (talk) 16:36, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose Jenkins is not a mononymic great composer widely known by surname, it should contain his name, instead of an ambiguous surname. Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(music) suggests "Requiem (Karl Jenkins composition)" or something.-- 76.65.128.43 (talk) 05:43, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I beg your pardon? WP:NBC is quite clear: "If the name of the piece is shared by another piece or pieces, include the composer's surname in parentheses following the name of the piece." There is nothing in WP:NBC that would suggest a title like "Requiem (Karl Jenkins composition)". BTW, how many requiems are there by a composer named Jenkins (see [1])? --FordPrefect42 (talk) 23:46, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
