Added additional detail to original article including wikifying content and link to original full report for notation and reference. --Northmeister 18:49, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's a bunch of unsourced assertions in the article. Removing them is not "vandalism". ·:· Will Beback ·:· 01:49, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Your history is a history of biased deletions and vandalism and trolling. --Northmeister 03:18, 17 August 2007 (UTC) -Further the inter-wiki link to American School has numerous citations indicating where you placed source needed. You know this clearly and your simply deleting material and adding citation needed to harass this editor as others who have dealt with your conspiracy type well know. --Northmeister 03:23, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I changed this sentence "...protect American infant industry for a short term until it could compete" as it gave the impression of child labor as the main industry focused on by the report. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.175.10 (talk) 22:52, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Although already linked through American School inter-wiki link (well known by Willbeback who has a history with this) the sources both book and web for the opening paragraphs have been provided. There are numerous others as well. Its established history. The editor doesn't seem to understand American history well from past observation and edit wars he started due to his groups worries about a Larouche Conspiracy to take over Wikipedia (sounds profoundly wild doesn't it - but it takes all types I suppose) and their searching out like McCarthy all who cross their paths. It's actually profoundly sad. --Northmeister 03:46, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Which source says that the Report on Manufactures determined policies of the U.S. government through the 1970s? ·:· Will Beback ·:· 05:14, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Your here disrupting to make a point again - we've gone over this NUMEROUS times before. --Northmeister 14:45, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I accept your most recent edit as okay within the context of Wikipedia harmony. Although I do not feel it was over-reaching with the sources I provided. Rather than rehash everything I've already gone through including direct quotes given in the past, it's best to move on. --Northmeister 01:12, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
"Instead of bounties they reasoned in favor of high tariffs and restrictions on imports to increase manufacturing; which interestingly was favored by the manufacturers themselves who desired protection of their home market." "Thomas Jefferson: Author of America" by Christopher Hitchens (2009), "Aleandnder Hamilton" by Ron Chernow (2005). I confess that I did not conceive that anyone would want the page numbers, so I didn't write those down.

No mention of washighton? edit

Why is not mention made of George wAshington's specific request for a report on manufatures, nor why? From Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow: ""The imputes for the report had been laregely military and strategic in nature. Washington had admonished congress that a "free people" ought to "promote such manufatcories as render them independant (of) others for essentials, particulalrly for military supplies."
