Population figures
editThe Indonesian census figures from 2000 are an estimate at 330,000. However other sources say upwards of a million. (1981 Wurm and Hattori). Part of the problem is that citified Rejang may not identify with the Rejang ethnicity. --Bejnar 17:34, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm a Rejangnese! I know anything about it. Anyway, I live in Kepahiang.

Location
editI thank Relly Komaruzaman for the edits to location in the infobox, but they were not exactly appropriate. The Rejang are found in Bengkulu Province. All of the places listed by Relly Komaruzaman were parts of Bengkulu, namely three of the nine regencies of the province: Kepahiang Regency (with an incorrect link), Lebong Regency(with an incorrect link), and Rejang Lebong Regency. The nine regencies are:
So far as I can tell from the literature, which is primarily linguistic, the Rejang are present in all of the regencies in recognizable numbers, although I have no data from Enggano Island on the minority groups there. It may well be true that the Rejang percentage of the population is higher in the three regencies listed by Relly Komaruzaman; however, it seems to me that that kind of information belongs in the text with an appropriate footnote. --Bejnar (talk) 23:07, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Article title
editHi Relly Komaruzaman, I've noticed that you've moved the article "Rejang people" to "Rejangese". I was thinking as there is already an existing article on "Rejangese language", wouldn't it be appropriate if the title of this article is changed to "Rejangese people" to be more concise and specific? In that way, it also creates more opening of other possible Rejangese related articles in the future; for example, "Rejangese cuisine", "Rejangese architecture", "Rejangese folklore", etc. Look forward to seeing more contributions from you in this article too. - Rejangese is the right English for Rejang as same as Japanese, not Japan people. Relly Komaruzaman | Talk 12:11, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- I did not propose to change to "Rejang people", instead I'm suggesting "Rejangese people". Japanese people or Chinese people is indeed correct. Jeblat (talk) 16:59, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for the knowledge. I follow you as well as I copycat Japanese people and Chinese people on Wikipedia.

- Hi Mfikriansori. I noticed that you've changed the title of the article and Rejangese language to Rejangs people and Rejangs language. Grammatically, it is incorrect. It should be "Rejang people" and "Rejang language", without the "s". Since you're new here, I would recommend you to check out the Talk page and discuss it here first before making any name change or moving the article. Thanks. -Jeblat (talk) 04:08, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
