Talk:Reichstag dome

Is it realy necessary to make a separate article about the Reichstag dome?? In my opinion this should be included in the Reichstag building article. No wonder that there are more ane more articles. By the way not the Reichstag dome is one of the most important landmarks of Berlin, but the whole Reichstag, of which the dome is only a component.Knarf-bz (talk) 06:21, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

The symbolic nature and the unusual architecture of the Reichstag dome makes it much more unique; thus warranting a seperate article. It's the same reason why we have separate articles for the United States Capitol dome and the Beehive (building). --TBC!?! 16:52, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Designed to symbolise transparency in government?

Is it true that it was designed to represent transparency in government? (See this video about 4 minutes in). If so, would that be worth mentioning? Or, is this implicit in "symbolizes Berlin's attempt to move away from a past of Nazism and instead towards a future with a heavier emphasis on a united, democratic Germany"? - Kim Tucker (talk) 18:59, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
