Tew could not have taken him to England edit

I don't know anything about Ratsimilaho, but assuming the birthdate of 1694 is even approximately correct, he could not have been taken to England by Tew. Tew in 1694 sailed from Madagascar directly to Rhode Island, without stopping at England. The boy would have been so young as to still need his mother's milk. In 1695, Tew returned to Madagascar, then proceeded to the Red Sea and died there in a battle. He had no chance to take anybody to England.

Is it possible Tew is being confused with Adam Baldridge, who actually lived on Madagascar for some years in the 1690s? Pirate Dan (talk) 13:40, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the expertise Dan. It does say that the child went to England and I think only implies that he went with Tew. He is always said to have a pirate father, frequently Tew but I have seen the name Thomas White mentioned (but rubbished). I don't want to mislead then if you can suggest a form of words (and a ref?) then we may be able to make wiki correct in this respect. Of course its important to say that there is a legend .... where there is one documented ... but if we know it can't be true then we need to say so.
