Gross and Net confusions edit

@Cyphoidbomb: Sir, according to this source, the film distributors have said that the film has collected a net total of 9.23 crore. However, this sentence from the source is making it confusing : "Kanchanjangha, that released in 69 theatres in Assam on September 6 this year did a business of Rs 7 crore gross in a five-week-run to become the highest grossing Assamese film in history, till Ratnakar came a month later to break its record." Though it clearly says that another film Kanchanjangha has grossed 5 crore and this film has surpassed it, is it possible that the reporter is trying to mean gross, when she is using the term net in the above source? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:17, 15 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Fylindfotberserk: It's possible, although I don't know what to do about it. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:24, 15 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Cyphoidbomb: Since the source mentions 9.23 crore with the word "net" instead of "gross", I removed mention of this in the infobox so as not to violate WP:OR. Probably we should wait for a source which mentions it as gross or box office. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:53, 16 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
