The quinceañera is the girl, not the party

That would be WP:EDITORIALising, to point that out. But isn't the lead sufficient? It already states The girl celebrating her 15th birthday is a quinceañera (Spanish pronunciation: [kinseaˈɲeɾa]; feminine form of "15-year-old").
