Talk:Puro Tango Blast

I reverted the change made that was made to remove the the word "generally" from the phrase "generally Hispanic men" to "primarily Hispanic men." The sources indicate that Puro Tango Blast does not consist of only Hispanic men. I used the word primarily rather than generally because it makes the intent of the phrase more clear.

I changed the media section to read episode 11 season 5. episode 12 is about "ice cold killers" Alaskan Crips. --71.239.188.93 (talk) 22:04, 14 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Could these recent deletions of the History and Individual Tangos sections be explained? Robcow (talk) 19:41, 25 February 2010 (UTC) RobcowRobcow (talk) 19:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

It is important to note that the Mexican Mafia and Mexikanemi are different organizations. Puro Tango Blast is a Texas issue, and Texas does not have a security threat group formally known as Mexican Mafia. The analogous group is Mexikanemi. They are different. Additionally, I too have a great deal of knowledge about PTB and tangos; however, I don't put up knowledge that amounts to original research. Wikipedia collects knowledge from other sources. Stick to that. Robcow (talk) 14:07, 08 July 2010 (UTC) RobcowRobcow (talk) 19:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

As I've said in past, I have a great deal of knowledge regarding PTB and tangos that I could add. I don't edit things out because they are wrong but rather because they are not supported by other sources. The name Houstone is not a misspelling of city name; rather, it is the name of the tango that exists in Houston. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robcow (talkcontribs) 11:12, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fixed one dead link. Cites to same document as old link - just a new location. References show that each Tango is loosely associated with others; rather than being named by the city, the name is associated with a city. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robcow (talkcontribs) 19:37, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Undid vandalism from 13 and 14 January 2012. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robcow (talkcontribs) 16:41, 15 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Again, please source changes. Removing "White, Black" for "Mostly Mexican-American" doesn't cover the complete view of membership in Tango Blast and isn't supported by sources. If you present a source, please add that source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robcow (talkcontribs) 18:16, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

New reference to prostitution and sex trafficking clearly indicates that those involved with Puro Tango Blast are engaged in prostitution and trafficking but does not contain any references to Puro Tango Blast engaging in child sex trafficking; the referenced document does contain specific references to child sex trafficking but those do not include Puro Tango Blast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.167.191.132 (talk) 22:18, 23 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The addition of Brownsville is unnecessary as a location; that area is already encompassed by the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, Houston was not a founding location for Puro Tango Blast but was rather one of the cities represented in initial incarnations. This is especially true with the idea that this group was not founded in the streets but in the prison. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.167.191.132 (talk) 21:34, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

The sources support the use of Hispanic rather than Mexican-American. While certainly many people of Mexican descent are Puro Tango folks, not all are, and that is what is supported by sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:6000:1020:4250:AD8F:69F3:9E65:35A6 (talk) 17:52, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, please don't change primary content without sources.
