GA Review edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:Private equity secondary market/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

This article does not meet the good article criteria and has too many issues. It has therefore failed its nomination. Issues include but are not limited to:

  • A lot of the article does not have inline citations, which are used to verify the information.
    • "Secondary market participants" has none
    • "Types of Secondary Transactions" is mostly unreferenced
    • How are the items in "Milestones" determined? Isn't it pretty subjective? In any case, some of the items there don't have references.

Questions and comments placed on this page will receive responses. Once these issues have been resolved, feel free to renominate the article. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 17:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Feb 5, 2009 Changes Reversed edit

The following series of changes were reversed in a group:

  • Removed infrastructure portfolio. This type of investment should be discussed along with sales of other types of portfolios of direct assets (infrastructure, loans, hedge fund interests) which are on the margin of this market. Adding this to the article would require additional backfilling on this topic. This probably more appropriately belongs to Infrastructure, Infrastructure Asset Management or an article specifically about infrastructure investment
    • In any event the adding of "niche players" in infrastructure that are the same as the other main secondary investors seems duplicative
  • Adding back historical deals deleted (Swiss Life, Scale Ventures)
  • Removing Adams Street from transaction - please find a reference to that effect

Additionally:

  • Removed the entire "direct pioneer" concept

history section and milestones edit

the history section and milestones should be fused. The reverse chronological order of the milestones is confusing besides being against W:MOS guidelines.--Wuerzele (talk) 06:54, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
