I suggest moving the article to Alexandra Iosifovna (Alexandra Friederike Henriette of Saxe-Altenburg) similar to Alexandra Fyodorovna (Charlotte of Prussia) and other articles of dual name Russian nobility who got their given paternal names in re-baptizing to Orthodoxy or when taking monastism, like Patriarch Filaret (Feodor Romanov). --Irpen 00:03, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

She seems to be best known in English as Princess Alexandra of Saxe-Altenburg. I am not sure why Charlotte of Prussia and other Empresses consort of Russia have dual names, because they are almost always referred to by their Russian Orthodox name. However, princesses who married Grand Dukes of Russia are almost always referred to by their premarital names. This is a matter of usage. Surtsicna (talk) 18:13, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article says that Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna was Alexandra’s aunt. However, according to the family trees of each woman, they were 1st cousins through one descent and 2nd cousins through another.
