Mistake under CEDEX edit

The text under CEDEX says "The third figure (5) is for the Ve arrondissement". The third digit is not 5?

I believe that the contributor meant that the "05" at the end of the line is the arrondissement. I will try to clarify this.DisappointedHorse (talk) 09:14, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mistake? edit

The equivalent French version mentions in bold that the first two digits are not the department number but the department in which the nearest distributor is. You could live in one department but your mail might come from another department if you're near the border for example.

Why no commas?
In case anyone wonders why I removed all the commas between the house number and the street name: that is the correct way to write an address.
See here on the website of La Poste for their full recommendations on how to write an address: [1]
I first heard of this in 2003, but it's only slowly becoming more commonplace - old habits die hard. --Trickyb 19:37, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Postal codes" vs "Postcodes" edit

Most other lists of postcodes are called "Postcodes in Country". I have moved this page to Postcodes in France, but it has been moved back. Can we agree to follow the convention and move again to Postcodes in France?SQB (talk) 10:36, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
