PEM and/or fatigue

It's not clear that 'post-exertional malaise and/or fatigue' means something different to PEM. The same argument could be said about 'post-exertional neuroimmune exhaustion', if that were true, so I think consistency is required here.

I think that the context also makes this clear. There isn't a separate description for 'post-exertional fatigue'; it is next to the same description as PEM. I.e, it's likely that the two terms are intended to refer to the same concept or at least overlapping concepts.

Neither can it mean 'PEM or fatigue', as fatigue is already listed in the Canadian Consensus Criteria as the primary symptom, making the second requirement for fatigue redundant.

Reading the description of the symptom, it's pretty clear that it means PEM, and is the same or similar to other PEM/PENE criteria. Lewisguile (talk) 20:47, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Housebound/Bedbound

Hi, this sentence in the description section:

“potentially rendering someone housebound or bedbound until they recover.”

is problematic in my opinion. As it neglects people with ME/CFS who are housebound and bedbound long term (at their baseline). YannLK (talk) 14:32, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
