Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

The dates of the start of rebellion (if that mean the independence wars) are wrong. RNunes —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rubendenunes (talk • contribs)

This article was essencialy a POV appraisal of Portuguese colonization, and that was more develloped than stuff about Portuguese Africans themselves. Deleted great part of the text and stubed it. The Ogre 16:32, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have never heard portugueses-africanos either. Plus, the term should not be capitalized, and it has no circumflex accent. FilipeS 16:19, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, of course, silly of me! An I also have never heard of them... The Ogre 01:05, 26 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Although a small group, mostly descended from the men Christopher da Gama led into that country in the 16th century (augmented by shipwrecked sailors & men ransomed from slavery), the Portuguese-Ethiopians played a notable role in that country's history for several generations, until they apparently lost their identity towards the end of the 18th century. (Probably the most visible member was Empress Mentewab.) Would an account of this group be relevant to this article? -- llywrch (talk) 22:14, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Portuguese-South Africans article states their number as 80,000, which this article claims over 1 million. Why such a huge discrepancy? Funnyhat (talk) 01:56, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the 1 mio., it is a ridiculous number, but we still have 300.000 in the table here and 80.000 in the article, the latter sounds a lot more credible. --Batmacumba (talk) 01:32, 27 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
