Contract law

edit

Seems like there's a lot of text about contract law. That really isn't about Port State Control, but the later ramifications of it on contracts. I think the article should deal more with the issues of Port State Control itself. ~PescoSo saywe all 19:32, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Port State ControlPort state control – This is not the proper noun name of a single control regime, but rather the general common noun topic of ship control by port states. The phrase is not consistently capitalized in sources or in the article itself. Most sources that do use caps for every word in the phrase are clearly not following Wikipedia's capitalization practices. Some sources capitalize only the word "State", as in "port State control" – perhaps to emphasize that the word refers to sovereign states. The Wikipedia MoS prescribes the use of lowercase when the topic is not a proper noun and the independent reliable sources are mixed. Wikipedia does not use capital letters merely to indicate that a term is important or has an associated initialism or has a special definition. —BarrelProof (talk) 12:46, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
