DoD vacancies and temps, add ?
Under Foreign policy and defense section?:
More than a third of all Senate-confirmed civilian positions at the US Department of Defense are now vacant or filled by temporary officials – a new high for the Trump administration.
- Lara Seligman & Daniel Lippman Civilian vacancies at Trump’s Pentagon hit new high; One Defense official pushed back on the notion of a disagreement between the White House and the Pentagon over Rood’s replacement. March 6, 2020 Politico.com
The Baboon Question
Is it in bad taste to call the POTUS a big orange baboon with a Frankenstein head? I'm so sorry I voted for him. He has been a giant disappointment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Longinus876 (talk • contribs) 05:53, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
Vaccines
Time to update this, as numerous reliable sources have reported his public shift on this issue. 2601:445:37F:8A10:7505:A0E0:DA3C:9909 (talk) 04:53, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Vaccines Position has shifted
Trump publicly changed his position on the link between vaccines and autism well over a year ago. This was reported by numerous reliable sources including ABC, WaPo, NYT, and many others. C’mon guys, we can’t just update this page when it makes 45 look bad. That would make people wonder if Wikipedia had a left leaning political agenda! Also - I’m new to editing so apologies if this is not the correct way to suggest this change. 2601:445:37F:8A10:8D05:5951:C217:4443 (talk) 16:36, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

- Really? I'm not sure what's more shocking, the fact that not a single person with editing power noticed that an unambiguous public shift in a highly controversial opinion held by the highest public official was reported by dozens of reliable sources, or that you're too lazy to take three seconds to google it yourself when the embarrassing failure of competence is pointed out. But sure, here are your sources, kiddo:
- I'm sure this omission was just a coincidence that has absolutely nothing to do with Wikipedia's nakedly transparent political agenda, though... 2601:445:37F:8A10:D00C:CF44:664:BD7E (talk) 15:14, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
- First of all, it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Second, you comments towards Ganbaruby were inappropriate, please do not do that again. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 18:50, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Copied from "Talk:Donald Trump#Donald Trump statements on payroll taxes"
-- Donald Trump statements on payroll taxes --QUESTION: Should the following news reference (re "Donald Trump: If Reelected, I will 'Terminate' Social Security" )[1][2] be included in any of the many Donald Trump articles on Wikipedia? - or Not? - not clear about this at the moment - Comments Welcome - iac - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 18:24, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Absolutely not. Trump never said that. The cited source is a partisan website putting words in Trump's mouth. Here's what Trump actually said: [1][3] He proposed cutting the payroll taxes that support Social Security and Medicare. Of course those cuts would weaken SS and MC if alternate replacement funding wasn't included in his proposal. But it is a flat lie, pure scare-mongering, to say that he promised to terminate SS. -- MelanieN (talk) 18:44, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Friend505, Emir of Wikipedia, and MelanieN: - just now added a more recent related WP:RS[2] - not sure if the new ref changes anything, but seems relevant (and less partisan?) nonetheless - iac - Stay Safe and Healthy !! Drbogdan (talk) 20:10, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
- As it happens I also saw the LA Times piece earlier today. It also can't be used because it is an op-ed, and it also seriously exaggerates what Trump promised. We could add something to the Political Positions article, based on what he REALLY said, along with some analysis of what the effect would be. Still not appropriate for this article, at least not unless he takes it further and makes the threat to SS more explicit. -- MelanieN (talk) 20:19, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

Visa Waiver for Poles
Despite if You like Trump or not, he is the first president which realized his promise, about so called "removing visa" (joining Visa Waiver Program) for Poland citizens. Previous Republican or Democratic presidents talked much about it and in fact never made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.146.65.58 (talk) 17:23, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Why hasn't this page been locked down like the Joe Binden page. SMH wikipedia fix it ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.48.164.25 (talk) 16:10, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- This page is semi-protected because that is the degree of protection it needs. It hasn't had a problem edit for weeks. The Joe Biden page has a higher level of protection - Extended Confirmed protection - because that is the level of protection it needs. It is not "locked down". -- MelanieN (talk) 16:20, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Trump was a democrat ever since December 2011 but now that he is really high in profile status, he wanted to be part of a more favorable party, the republican party. As he grew, he studied politics getting to where he is now, the presidency. With the point of him being part of the republican party, he can use that lure many adults into voting for his political party and have another term of his presidency. 2601:244:4702:4490:F534:1886:A63D:69B7 (talk) 19:59, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia policy is no propaganda
- Wikipedia is not a soapbox, a battleground, or a vehicle for propaganda, advertising and showcasing. An article can report objectively about such things, as long as an attempt is made to describe the topic from a neutral point of view. You might wish to start a blog or visit a forum if you want to convince people of the merits of your opinions.
This articles serves as a showcase of propaganda. No attempt has been made to report objectively. That is why there is no summary in the lead. This isn't an article. Look closely. Most sections consist of a bundle of statements. As a whole the article is mostly a list of quotations consisting solely of propaganda. This is contrary to our policy of no propaganda in any form. This "article" barely attempts to describe anything, let alone report objectively. We need to talk about in first person Wikipedia voice, not be parrots. Its purely copied and pasted factoid assertions. This kind of page destroys our reputation. There are countless other articles full to the brim with quoted propaganda. Very bad. - Shiftchange (talk) 23:54, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

US flags.
Regarding US flags, there is one section - - -
Flag desecration
During a rally in June 2020, President Trump told supporters that he thinks flag burning should be punishable by one year in prison.
1) Does Trump express any thoughts on the Supreme Court's previous decision that flag-burning is an expression of free speech in Texas v. Johnson (1989)?
2) Does Trump express any thoughts on the way his followers have altered American flags by applying his image, political slogans, etc. in violation of 4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag :
- (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. - Cornell Law School: "U.S. Code: Title 4" [2]
