A different method to solve any quadratic equation ...

I just added a Talk section to Equation solving related to this guy so whoever is editing this page might want to check it out and include that material here also if appropriate. The problem here of course is the material I link to is a primary and self-published source so secondary source (reaction?) articles will need to be found on the matter for this page. Removing advertising to make content encyclopedic (not a personal web page)

This page featured nearly an entire paragraph on Dr. Loh's Youtube channel, including times that viewers should tune in for live streams and information about Q&A Sessions on the live streams. This is an encyclopedia article, not Dr. Loh's personal webpage. It should not be a space for advertising his videos. While I'm sure they are excellent, that information should be posted on other platforms. A Youtube channel with fewer than 20,000 subscribers does not warrant a mention in a Wikipedia article without good reason ("the videos explain math in an accessible way," while an admirable quality, does not suffice). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moses.hetfield (talk • contribs) 17:37, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Sources that I cut that might still have useful information

Many of the sources previously used in this article didn't meet the guidelines of WP:RS (e.g. podcasts, blog posts, personal web pages, Loh's CV, ...). Others seemed redundant to make the particular claims they were cited for. I pared the list back quite a bit (and a couple of the remaining sources still seem a bit questionable), but a few of the sources removed might still be useful for verifying claims in this article or new claims which could be added:

Hopefully by condensing sections and eliminating some parts that felt fluffy (especially vague quotations) it doesn't seem like I'm stepping on your toes, @Prodraxis. No hurry. If you want to expand this article further, my recommendation would be to try to find and summarize sources discussing Loh's methods/strategies as a problem-solving teacher and coach, which is probably more relevant and interesting to most readers than more material about his entrepreneurial projects. Someone could also try to summarize the impact of his mathematical research (I don't know enough about the field to say anything informed about it.) –jacobolus (t) 16:59, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
