Elevator Girl Cheridel / Houseguest Requirements edit

I watched the episode where Alex officially left the house and Cheridel moved in. Can you please update the page? 112.208.34.128 (talk) 04:46, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Found out in Pending, but she had joined. I did not know that Daniel became an official Housemate. What are the requirements of being a Houseguest? . 112.208.34.128 (talk) 04:54, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

NONE. If the show says they are a housemate, they are a housemate. Otherwise, they are considered a houseguest. Oenix (talk) 07:23, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Alex Gonzaga edit

Was it EXPLICITLY stated that Alex Gonzaga is NOT a housemate and rather a HOUSEGUEST only? Aeron Valderrama (talk) 16:01, 27 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes. She was evicted, adding Cheridel into the list. 112.208.34.128 (talk) 04:50, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Separate nomination history for public edit

Isn't it enough to have the publicly nominated HM history SEPARATE from the nomination history itself? Aeron Valderrama (talk) 14:49, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking that every HM might receive a certain SMS percentage of votes. So to reflect for all votes received, a separate table will be much appropriate. After that, add the publicly nominated housemate (with different font color) in the housemates' nomination section.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 14:58, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
My question was wrong, but you understood nonetheless. Unless, they will show ALL of those public nomination percentages come nomination, no need to have separate history. And I think italics is enough to distinguish the publicly nominated housemate in the nominated list. Aeron Valderrama (talk) 11:38, 9 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

nomination table and legends edit

When editing these sections, please see previous editions on how it's done. Information should be top priority, second is aesthetics. Also, don't add new legends to the main bar on the right, unless there are special statuses made for the edition like house players and heads of household. Again, see previous editions for reference. We don't have to change the format everytime there's a new edition. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oenix (talkcontribs) 16:24, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Events and other concerns edit

The Events section seems too long for a show that has been running for 5 weeks, has evicted 3 housemates, and still has a long way to go on air. If anyone can edit the Events section and make it shorter, please do so. Please don't include emotional events like loveteams and specific emotions. This is a neutral article, like other articles.

Also, if in doubt of doing a certain edit, please consult this Talk page. I'm just surprised that people just do major edits without even talking about it here. We don't want thsi to become an Unlimited article (dividing the article into sub-articles because it's just too long).
There is a Talk page for a reason. I don't want to be doing monologues every now and then. Thanks. -- Oenix — Preceding undated comment added 15:29, 24 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Also, I noticed that most references are the news articles being made by the official PBB website. Most of these references only serve trivial things that happen inside the house. Don't make this page a "summarized" news page of the website. Let the viewers go to the official website to read the article there. Again, this is a neutral article. We discourage putting trivial stuff in this page as this can make the page unnecessarily long (see Unlimited). Oenix (talk) 16:47, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Oenix!   I agree with your opinion, I think we should really limit the weekly entries... keeping them short as possible. Regarding the references taken from the official PBB website, I added them in the article but I didn't do that in order to summarize the website. I added them because there were no other references available.
Anyways, I have a suggestion for the weekly summaries. Instead of adding events per day, we can summarize it per week (so we remove the Day 1, Day 2 thing and summarize the week into one or two paragraphs). Everyday, we can add some information about the daily happenings but only if it is important. Now, we need to define first what is important:
  1. I agree that the article should be neutral, so we have to remove the drama parts (unless that dramatic event is important to a team, like the celebrities for example).
As much as possible, we should not break the article into sub-articles... 'cause that's ugly. We need to keep the readers reading one article. And besides, this is only a show. It doesn't deserve to have several articles showcasing the information for this season.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 10:19, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have been suggesting the weekly summary edit format since Double Up. This kind of summary should be done especially for a show that can run for more than 12 weeks or so. We can take a sample weekly summary from BBUK articles. BBUS's weekly summaries are just divided into paragraphs. Lets vote on this edit change.
Anyone who is in favor of this kind of change, add your response below and reply "AYE!" The forum for this will be open for seven days. After three days of no reply from editors other than me and Renzoy16, on June 3, the weekly summary change will be applied. Anyone who tries to revert it to the previous chronology format may be charged of vandalism of this page. Thanks. Oenix (talk) 11:00, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
AYE! Oenix (talk) 11:00, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
also tagging User: Japanese Rail Fan for your opinion about this change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oenix (talkcontribs) 11:19, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Before anything else, there is a guideline stating that voting is evil and we should discuss a consensus and not cast votes here. (WP:Consensus) Japanese Rail Fan 13:25, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Before this edit, I checked out the BBUS15, BBUK14, and BBCA2 articles. On Oenix's suggestion, it will sound nice if we do that summary style format in paragraph form, but it will end up in a situation like somebody has to thorughly read, if not scan, the section only to find out that "Oh. This is only what was done on day X. Housemate A was told to do task B and failed due to housemate C's uncooperative efforts." We do not have enough ways to guide the reader quickly to where he wants to be brought, a problem in the BBUS15 and BBCA2 articles. But for the BBUK14 article, it was easier to read despite having only one direct link from the table of contents. The editors there segregated the types of activities done and it will be a bit easier for a reader to read the article that way, as tha table itself was formatted to be easily searchable. The only downside is a difficult formatting, though. We could make this article drama-free if we consider the (1) Renzoy16 criterion. I have a (2) criterion proposal:
  1. We could delete the events when the housemates share their feelings with Big Brother if it is about a past event in the house. Japanese Rail Fan 13:25, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have one concern with the BBUK14, they are using a table. There are five tables in the article already, should we add a new one? How about we use the paragraph form but bold the days so that readers can easily skip other details?--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 14:29, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have lost my internet connection last night so this response was delayed. Bolding the days can be a good suggestion. I thought of having the * Week X: style similar to the current format then bolded days. As for the tables, they may disrupt the chronology, so we should have paragraph form here. Japanese Rail Fan 03:39, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have tried bolding the days and placed the weeks into paragraphs. That move made article shorter somehow, but I think we really need to trim the summaries more down a little bit.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 08:12, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Let's wait for Oenix on this suggestion. In the meantime, I'll take a look on what I can trim down in the summaries. Japanese Rail Fan 09:42, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Made a copyedit on the chronology. One of these days I may come out with a paragraph form of the chronology and ask your opinion. Japanese Rail Fan 10:34, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok.  --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 11:49, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't logged in for a while. Got busy with other things. Anyway, I think with the many tables that have been added to the page, I think a paragraph format would look cleaner. We can just highlight in bold the days/weeks as indicators. Oenix (talk) 03:35, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I think everyone is agreeing on the paragraph form.  --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 05:51, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
So perhaps we should first make our own versions of the chronology in paragraph form before we discuss our ideas again and decide the output? Japanese Rail Fan 14:46, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Here is my version of the paragraph form. As of this edit, formatting fixes are still needed. Feel free to make suggestions. Japanese Rail Fan 14:17, 1 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Other tasks" table edit

The table was hidden as of this moment. It was placed there for adding important tasks done by the housemates. I think the table can really help out in limiting the summaries on the chronology of events section for the reason that we can provide a detailed information about their individual tasks in the table.

To what tasks will we add in the table, that is for us to sort out. --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 15:13, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps we can hide the table instead of delete it on May 30. We will just unhide it once there are sufficient tasks other than the weekly tasks. I think we should include the personal tasks which, when passed, will give a reward to the housemates. Japanese Rail Fan 04:05, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I agree. It should be hidden. We don't know what will happen in the future of the show. We don't know if the table might be useful in the coming weeks.
What kind of personal task? I think it should only be limited to important personal task like "reward money for the his family outside"; "to have a 100 second encounter with a special someone". If its just something minor, we should not include it.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 08:12, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree. These tasks should include the housemates' encounters with loved ones. How about tasks that are related to the weekly task? Tasks for immunity other than the Team of Household competitions? Japanese Rail Fan 11:24, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
If the personal task is part of the weekly task, we should not add it in that table. If it's for individual immunity, we can add it. Just wondering where is Oenix, since he was the one who started the conversations here. And besides, I want another voice in this talk page. I don't want that only the two of us are agreeing on things. Need another one to help us sort these things out.  --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 11:49, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm still 50/50 on this table. Well, if it's a special task (not part of the weekly task or what) where there is a concrete reward like prizes or something, I think it can be added to this table. Tasks that result to immunity may not be added here, I guess, as it concerns the nomination process. The table will remain hidden until a consensus has been reached. Oenix (talk) 03:46, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
What I would like to emphasize with the table is its task, regardless of what the prize is. So if regardless an immunity is at stake, if its a non-weekly task then we should add it. But we should limit to what are those important task.  --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 05:51, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I might be supporting both sides now, but a non-immunity task should be added here. Group immunity will go to another table (the ToH or another if housemates are not grouped as regulars, teens, or celebrities), while individual immunity will go to the diary. Tasks with rewards for housemates and their beneficiaries may be included, but rewards for people not realted to the housemates may not be included and should end up in the diary. Well we should page other major contributors like or members of WikiProjects Big Brother and Philippines who are also concerned here? Japanese Rail Fan 15:03, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Merging sections edit

Hey guys, opening a new topic here. How about we merge the Development, Hosts and Auditions sections to one? For easy navigation. Oenix (talk) 03:53, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm... Honestly, I think we should keep it as is. The sections were for there for their purpose.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 05:51, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Agree. Sections are there for easy searching and fragments ideas to organize them better. @Oenix: Perhaps you should check the numbers in the IPs doing the Sandara edit and if you find some sort of similarity, an SPI might be opened. Japanese Rail Fan 15:06, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ugh, that IP address is getting on my nerves. I gotta report this. Too bad I'm not an admin to have a power to give sanction to the IP address. Thanks for the suggestion; I will be using it. Oenix (talk) 15:57, 31 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Where next? edit

Well, this talk page has been asleep for some time, with no responses from the three big names to the article. @Renzoy16: @Oenix: Will we still push through with the change in the summary format? Or will we wait for other parties to come here? Japanese Rail Fan 13:43, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Let's push for it. :) --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 13:44, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well I made a summary form above, but after that, this page has slept with no responses. After I fix that one, and you give a go signal, we may well replace the current format with the new one. Japanese Rail Fan 13:47, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh, sorry. I haven't noticed your suggested summary. I was out of town for two days. One thing with your summary, 'day' should be reflected as 'Day' per Wikipedia:WikiProject Big Brother guidelines. Other than that, it looks great!  --AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 14:00, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Then let's wait for Oenix to have a say here, then we can make the change   Japanese Rail Fan 14:06, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
I didn't know you all were waiting for me. I was busy with paperwork. I say YES, go for the change. Oenix (talk) 11:00, 6 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
After all fixes have been done to the draft (you can help), then the change can be applied. I am just fixing some syntax in the draft, and after it, the new paragraph form will go live.   At most before 2014-06-09T18:00:00+08:00. Japanese Rail Fan 11:24, 6 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have just made the change in the summary format before this edit. Reinstating the statement of Oenix, Anyone who tries to change the format to the previous format will be charged of vandalism. So should we also apply the paragraph form to the Double Up and Unlimited articles? Japanese Rail Fan 14:03, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
I was about to convert the season 2 season summary into paragraph form, but due to real life and other interests getting in the way, I never got around into it. I may give you that summary in case you want to reinstate or convert it yourselves. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 20:20, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Rampant vandalism edit

Notice to main editors Renzoy16 and Japanese Rail Fan, there has been rampant vandalism of the article since the semi-protected status has been lifted. Seem like people really like to mess with the article. Does anyone know how to apply a more protected status for this article so that things like this can be avoided. Seems like everyday this article is being edited poorly by unregistered users. Please let's take a more serious action to this. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oenix (talkcontribs) 04:50, 15 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Houseguest edit

Just a curious question, how do you know if someone is a houseguest or not? Where do you draw the line? From the many many people who entered the house during the Freeze weekly task, how many of them, if there are any, are houseguests? Oenix (talk) 07:35, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Lacking information edit

As we have all noticed, the activity in the article's chronology section has declined. I became busy outside Wikipedia since June, after which, I checked out this page frequently only to find out that some of the days have been lacking or were incomplete paragraphs. The paragraphs from Week 8 were less in size and number of sentences than previous weeks. Could this be due to (1) the show is really showing less events, (2) less editors are actively watching and editing this page, or (3) activity has really fallen. I cannot really watch the show due to time constraints, therefore I cannot write that much about the show. But if possible, can the information in lacking dates be completed? Japanese Rail Fan 14:31, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

WHAT A SEASON edit

Sorry guys if I haven't been active here, too busy with personal stuff and I didn't watch the later episodes because I just think it lost its steam towards the end. Anyways, thanks guys for editing the article and keeping away the trolls. Thanks to @Renzoy16: and @Japanese Rail Fan:, I'll be expecting you two in the next season. :)

Just one thing though before we leave this article. Does anyone agree that subsequent seasons should have a longer article protection? BB articles are always being trolled, especially after the finale, and a lot of people are too excited to edit. I really hope it does, I don't want to deal with article trolls next season.

So, good job guys, what an awesome season! See you in the next one!

Also, keep JhenieMae Santos away from any PBB articles soon. Thanks.

Oenix (talk) 16:20, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome. Well, I was too wasn't active for some weeks now. I requested a one week protection request. But, let's see if that will not be enough.--AR E N Z O Y 1 6At a l k 16:32, 24 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
