Parking at PHL

As a matter of general interest, it would be useful to add the parking capacities for the main and economy parking facilities. I could not find that information in a brief search of the internet, although a more thorough review might scare it up. Given how often the main decks and economy lots fill up, it would also be useful to include off-facility parking services, rates, and shuttle info. --Itsgeneb 14:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

PHL-CDG

Just to let you know that whoever put that AF is ending CDG-PHL and DL will be taking over the route is false. Delta has not made any announcements about taking over the route. I went to Air France's website and search for PHL-CDG nonstop flights and found that AF 365/366 is still operating on March 31 and it is still bookable on their website. I also went to Delta's website to search for the "proposed" PHL-CDG operated by Delta for April 1 and the only nonstop flight operating on that date is a codeshare and the flight is operated by Air France. I have removed the edits unless someone can give me a source, an announcement, or a flight number, etc. You are more than happy to revert my edits back. Thanks! To update, Delta has taken over the route, using a DL 757 on the flight. However it appears that this flight will be canceled after Summer 2011, or at least reduced to seasonal service. AF no longer flies into PHL.--Slgordon3 (talk) 10:27, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

UPS Airlines

This article needs a mention of UPS activities at PHL. UPS operates a substantial hub at PHL, with flights to many big cities east of the Mississippi, as well as a few to the US west coast. It's also the main UPS gateway to Europe, with flights to Germany, France, and England. I will work on adding this info in the coming weeks. --Slgordon3 (talk) 10:27, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Grammar

Why refer to UPS air activities as "UPS Airlines"? They're just the air operations for UPS. Also, when describing the dedication of the site by Charles Lindbergh, the text reads "but it no terminal building until 1940" or something like that. US Airways operated by American Airlines

I have added a citation needed tag for the statement in the table that US Airways flights are operated by American Airlines. It has been removed several times, but a reference to support the statement has never been added (because one doesn't exist). As I've brought up at WT:AIRPORTS, US Airways flights remain operated by US Airways, not American Airlines. The two airlines operate under a single operating certificate, which names the operating airline as "American Airlines Inc or US Airways Inc". Reservations systems say "US Airways" or "American Airlines operated by US Airways" for US Airways-operated flights; they do not say "US Airways operated by American Airlines." And all that aside, per WP:PROVEIT, a citation needed tag should never be removed without adding a citation or at least discussing at talk. —Alex (Ashill | talk | contribs) 01:19, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Except it's not true. The Cactus call sign is gone, but US Airways flights remain separate from AA flights and the operating certificate lists both airlines. The burden isn't on me to support the claim that I'm challenging. As I stated, reservation systems say "operated by US Airways" for US flights; that would violate DOT rules if they were in fact operated by AA.

It is, of course, true that this will be a moot point by the end of the year when US Airways really does cease to be a separate operator (although that still won't change the fact that the entire destination table should be cited), but as long as it's here, uncited "common knowledge" doesn't make it ok when challenged. —Alex (Ashill | talk | contribs) 03:51, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Varadero

Anyone know why the new Frontier flight to Varadero has been removed? It was supposed to begin in January 2017. International Arrivals at Terminal A West/East

There's a contradiction that I can't quite figure out in the Terminal A West/East Section.

• A West states that international arrivals except those with customs pre-clearance are processed at A West
• A East states that Frontier international arrivals come into A East.

Do all Frontier international destinations have customs pre-clearance and, if so, wouldn't they arrive into the regular Frontier gates at Terminal E? --Overturn 91 (talk) 13:42, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

New Los Angeles - Philadelphia Nonstop

Hi I'm not used to editing so excuse me for my sloppiness. The Los Angeles service that is being added is operated by Alaska Airlines. Its stated on the Virgin America website and also on usatoday.com. Actually, the service will be on Virgin America aircraft as per http://www.philly.com/philly/business/transportation/Alaska-Airlines-to-begin-a-nonstop-daily-flight-from-Philadelphia-to-Los-Angeles-on-Sept-2.html. Is PHL an American Hub?

Inspired by a recent edit, how is it determined if PHL is officially an American Airlines hub city? It's listed on their "hub fact sheets" page (http://news.aa.com/multimedia/default.aspx#factsheets) which includes the phrase "PHL is American’s largest transatlantic Northeastern hub" and is listed as a pilot crew base, in-flight crew base, and maintenance base. --Overturn 91 (talk) 20:45, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
