The World Won't Listen
editThe reference[1] says:
- The latest installment of SF MoMA's 'New Work' series centers around Collins's 2005 video dünya dinlemîyor (the world won't listen), which features young people in Istanbul, Turkey, singing along to backing tracks from the 1987 album of the same name by the British group The Smiths. You're quite right about the Saatchi Gallery reference. However, when I saw the exhibit in Dallas, the exhibition information noted that it was more than just Istanbul involved. Just to make sure I wasn't remembering incorrectly, I went to the Dallas Museum of Art website and verified the information, and I updated the reference in the article. [2] Unfortunately, the DMA website doesn't note which cities in Colombia, Turkey, and Indonesia were involved, and I don't remember. (The entrance to the exhibition is plastered with posters from the various karaoke sessions.) Poldy Bloom (talk) 03:51, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Great. Well done on the ref. Tyrenius (talk) 04:03, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
I am doing some research on him at the moment for my thesis. The 3 cities are: Bogotá, Istanbul and Jakarta. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.136.216 (talk) 14:13, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Can you provide a reference that could be used to substantiate that? Ty 02:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
