The term "Persian Empire", as a proper name, by itself is commonly and primarily associated with the empire under the Achaemenid dynasty, that is the period between Cyrus and Alexander (550-330 BCE). Later incarnations typically use dynastic names (e.g. Parthian, Sassanid, Safavid, etc.). It is relatively rare to find them referred to simply as "the Persian Empire", without a dynastic modifier (e.g. "Sassanid Persia"). Walrasiad (talk) 01:21, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
