- Thanks for dropping by!!! The first school (Mesonjetorja, started in 1887) was for both boys and girls. Of course in 1887 had very few girls, however the picture you see is from 1899.
The girls' school (started in 1891) was exclusively for girls and we don't have a pic on it. I'll try to edit a little bit more. --Sulmues Let's talk 13:36, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Is the name Parashkevi common in Albania? Because it is a Greek name meaning Friday (Paraskevi). And what about Qiriazi? In Greek it's Kyriazi. Q43 (talk) 20:27, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- Parashqevi used to be very common between Albanian Orthodox women prior to end of WWII (although our Parashqevi eventually embraced the Protestant faith) and then it started to be disused. An exception to the rule has been Parashqevi Simaku though, probably the most popular singer in Albania in the 1980s. Greek of course. Kyriazis name appears twice in a declaration of the Greeks of Korytsa for the union with Greece:
