Removing a sentence edit

I'm removing all talk of this album being leaked onto the internet. I find it unnecessary to the article and it may encourage illegal activity.

The 'orphans' edit

It'd be nice to detail which of the tracks are old and where they came from. Sadly I have no idea, hence me coming here to look it up :) 86.130.99.176 20:56, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added credits for all songs. Information taken from the accompanying booklet to the album. It'd also be nice to have additional information on the songs, like e.g. the albums where they first appeared, for the soundtrack contributions, the one's from tribute albums, etc etc. There was no info in the album booklet on this, and I don't have the time to collect those stamps right now. The "Tom Waits Supplement" would probably be a good starting point for anyone wanting to take on the task. Mortene 08:16, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've added references to a bunch of tracks that previously appeared on compilation albums. Sorry I don't have any further info. Ahkond 19:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like a review edit

Somebody should think about fixing the main text. It sounds more like a review than just factual information.Bhairava2 21:36, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

you're right, someone came and added like four paragraphs like that. i've been wondering where to even start. W guice 14:46, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sold out? edit

A local newspaper has reported that the album is more or less sold out here in Norway, and that the record stores will not be able to get any more copies, as the album was truely a "limited edition"-thing only. Anyone know more about this? I would assume this would be the same globally, if correct. 195.1.58.173 14:28, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

-I work at a record store in Dallas, TX and we have recently gotten in a second shipment of Orphans that is a different version of the package. The cover has a more orange tint, the package is less wide, the CDs are housed in a digipack style fold-out and it appears (looking through the shrinkwrap) that the booklet is smaller. I'm not sure what the deal is with this, but I at least know that here it certainly isn't sold out though it's selling quite well.

Citation needed edit

Could we get a citation for "Some copies of the initial "limited edition" are autographed by Waits." ? I haven't seen any on eBay (which is surprising if such a thing were true).

Genres edit

I started a discussion here of the genres on Tom Waits albums. I encourage all interested editors to participate. Thanks. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 16:18, 13 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
