GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose):   b (MoS):
    • The sentence "This expressway begins at Wellington Road (Elgin County Road 25 / 26) and travels through St. Thomas to Centennial Road, and features a single interchange" needs to be reworded.
    • "It then curves east and travels parallel to the St. Thomas and Eastern Railway to Courtland, remerging with the Talbot Trail and meandering towards Delhi, now within Norfolk County.", the word "meandering" sounds awkward. Try finding another word to use.
    • Not too many synonyms that aren't equally awkward. Winding, snaking, twisting. I went with snaking, though I think meander is the best word here. - Floydian τ ¢ 16:42, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
    • "The government granted Talbot his land and promised an additional 200 acres (810,000 m2) for each family that settled a 50 acre lot in the original grant", need a conversion for 50 acres.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
    • In the mini-lead of the route description, I don't think the traffic counts or the 2011 map can source the historical information.
    • The second paragraph of the Provincial Highway Network section of the History needs citations.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
    • What kind of development does the highway pass in Windsor?
    • You should clarify the number of lanes and whether or not the highway is divided. I assume most of the route is a two-lane undivided road.
    • In the Downloads and changes since section, you mention the downloading of the Leamington to Talbotville Royal section but do not mention the downloading of the Port Colborne section (which is mentioned out of place earlier in the uncited paragraph).
    • "In early 2015, it was announced that the parkway would open to traffic between Highway 3 and Labelle Street (near the E.C. Row Expressway) in the spring" Has this opened yet?
    • Nothing yet and no news when I checked today. Wouldn't surprise me if they opened it on June 20 and said "see, we said it'd open in the spring!" - Floydian τ ¢ 16:42, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

I will place this article on hold for fixes to be made. Dough4872 02:48, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Fixes made and two replies given above. - Floydian τ ¢ 16:42, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I will now pass the article. Dough4872 02:08, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Outdated text re Western segment edit

Hi there - I note that the section on the Western segment currently includes the following, "construction is ongoing as of 2015 on the Windsor–Essex Parkway". As it is now late October 2016, can this statement be updated? Thanks! PKT(alk) 14:18, 30 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
