Operation edit

I wanted to doublecheck, but I believe what you're meaning at the beginning of the operation section is that freight services ran from Auckland to Whangarei, and services further north were operated from Whangarei? Interestingly there was a loco depot at Opua and Okaihau so in fact some services north of Whangarei must have commenced there (I know Okaihau had full time drivers). Can anyone clarify this? Changes edit

I've made some major changes to the article. I have removed some old information, however feel free to put back any old information which I have removed back into the article if you feel it should be included. I shall go over the old information in due course and find references for these information so I can include them in the article.

I don't think much more substantial information was added since I did the original copy, in which case you'll find the information's reference in Railways of New Zealand: A Journey Through History by Churchman and Hurst. - Axver 10:01, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

== Intro == should I think include that it also includes the Western Line (which I have added) Hugo999 12:36, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stations edit

This section is redundant thanks to the routemap. --LJ Holden 04:14, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re-arranged Lead edit

I found the Lead to be disjointed, with the proposed Marsden Point branch coming before the layout of the NAL was even presented. I re-arranged the Lead without destroying anything, but did rewrite some sentences for clarity only. Also, a number of stations on the Western Line that had closed (some of them long ago) were present; I removed them. Akld guy (talk) 06:35, 24 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
