Noam pronounciation
editviewing the source video he seems to indicate that Noam is not pronounced like gnome (one syllable rhyming with home) but is rather pronounced "no" - "am". The article wording seems to indicate it is pronounced more like the former rather than the latter... unless Canadians pronounce gnome as no-am (I cannot read the phonetic letter nonsense to confirm anything and would appreciate it if someone who can views the video and then reads/corrects the article). - The phonetic pronunciation does say that it is pronounced no-am, as you said. It is more professional than just writing "his name is pronounced no-am", so I used IPA instead of the regular alphabet. The article wording does not say anything incorrect. It indicates that his name is pronounced "no-am" but that some people mispronounce it by saying "nohm" as in "gnome". Read it carefully. Writerchic99 (talk) 11:40, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Biography
editWith all due respect, but quotes from a single interview do not make up a legitimate biography. The most basic facts would be when and where is this guy born? These information can be found nowhere on the internet. Could someone please provide these data? Thanks a lot. --92.75.43.199 (talk) 10:50, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- On Twitter [1], Jenkins wrote that his mother is Jewish. He also tweeted [2] that "I was born in France. My Father is Canadian (Scottish/Welsh descent). My mother is Tunisian (Spanish/Berber descent)." So he's a Sephardi Jew on his mother's side. But apparently, he's a very private person, because there's little to no other personal information about him on the internet. - Lisa (talk - contribs) 10:16, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
