"Early Life"

Why is 'freedom fighter' in quotes? Does somebody have a doubt about Mr. Nitish Kumar's father being a freedom fighter? Nidhishunnikrishnan (talk) 07:45, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

"Awards and Recognitions"

An opinion poll result is not an award or recognition. One source is a broken link, the other is the website of another politician (NPOV source?). I will remove this section if there are no justifications for its inclusion. Recurring dreams 01:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Being the "best CM in India" is certainly a recognition by South Asia's largest selling newsmagazine. So what if the only FREE excerpt available is on the honorable Sri Naredra Modi page, who belongs to a different party on the other side of India BTW. Its not a broken link but a paid page to prove that the article on the best CM was indeed published by the magazine. Nitish Kumar's bio is from the Government of India page, why dont you remove his vital stats for appearing on the GoI page? Infact, why dont you remove the Congress from power since they were installed there by an "opinion poll"? Tri400 00:10, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

The government of India website would be a better and less biased reference than nahendramodi.org. A "pretend" link to the India Today simply does not cut it I'm afraid. Finally, an opinion poll clearly does not have the same relevance or importance as an election, so stop making facetious claims. Recurring dreams 01:31, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Bad sources in 2nd para

Text from the second para 'Kumar is a member of the Janata Dal (United) political party. As the chief minister, he appointed more than 100,000 school teachers, ensured that doctors worked in primary health centres, electrified many villages,[2] paved roads, cut female illiteracy by half, turned around a lawless state by cracking down on criminals and doubled the income of the average Bihari.[3]' Firstly, this looks like a fan boy statement, I have no doubts about the achievements of Nitish Kumar, but making sweeping statements like the above need better sources. The two sources cited here are as follows [1] and [2] The first one is from sify news, hardly the most credible source for making such tall claims. The second source points to a 'page not found' link. I am sure that better sources, specially from the Government of India/Government of Bihar data can be found and linked to Nitish Kumar's achievements. As of now, I suggest to remove in its entirety, the text in bold.
