Notability

Per a request for a third opinion, ill lay out my thoughts on this topic's notability. This article is clearly governed by Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) which states "An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability." So lets look at this articles citations. Bonewah (talk) 15:35, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

So i count 5 sources here:

• Australian Business Register.
• Bendigo Advertiser
• Escape
• Broadsheet
• The New Daily.

Notability of orgs and companies, examples of trivial coverage tells us a source is trivial (and, therefore does not help establish notability) if it is "standard notices, brief announcements, and routine coverage". The Australian Business Register is clearly that as it is simply a notice that the business registered.

Further examples of trivial coverage include "inclusion in lists of similar organizations, particularly in "best of", "top 100", "fastest growing" or similar lists" which i think the new Daily reference is. Bonewah (talk) 15:45, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Worth noting WP:AUD says " Evidence of significant coverage by international or national, or at least regional, media is a strong indication of notability. On the other hand, attention solely from local media, or media of limited interest and circulation, is not an indication of notability; at least one regional, statewide, provincial, national, or international source is necessary." The escape reference looks to also be a 'top 10 list' and both 'Escape' and 'The New Daily seem to be WP:RESTAURANTREVIEWS which advises that reviews that are "brief and routine reviews do not qualify" as establishing notability. Bonewah (talk) 16:11, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

'Broadsheet also looks like a restaurant review, but might be a bit more than 'brief or routine'. I cant view the full text of either of the 'Bendigo Advertiser' citations so i cant really judge them, except to note that the "Bendigo Advertiser" appears to be a local paper (which doesnt disqualify it as a source).

So based on what ive seen, i would argue that this subject is not notable per Wikipedia guidelines as the bulk of the sources cited are routine reviews and do not cover the subject in depth. I could be convinced otherwise but it would take more than another restaurant review/top X list/travel note, etc. Bonewah (talk) 16:20, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
