Protosynchellus
editI am deleting the reference to Bishop Nicholas' appointment as protosynchellus by Pope John Paul II. The pope does not appoint the protosynchellus. Canon 215 (CCEO) 2. Without prejudice to the prescription of 1, the eparchial bishop is to appoint the auxiliary bishop as protosyncellus. However, if there are several, he is to appoint one of them protosyncellus and the others as syncelli. Irish Melkite (talk) 03:58, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
