Request edit on 17 November 2019 edit

Hi GermanJoe,

I request that the content be enhanced to include an objective, soureable comparsion of the features & functions of the various neobanks. Similar to the edit I was making here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Neobank&oldid=926399000 My connected contributor template is thus:

the reason I am proposing the change is that there is incomplete information available comparing these services, making it tough for people to make informed decisions. I want to make a video on the final content on my youtube channel, for which I receive advertising revenue & affiliate links revenue if people click the links on the neobanks services reviewed. I am not employed by any of these neobanks, and I am not being paid to edit this article. This is a pastime for me v- my main income is from working as an engineer in construction.

for which I receive advertising revenue & affiliate links revenue - Wikipedia is no product catalogue or a venue to support your YouTube activities. Anyway, as I have already reverted your changes once, I will let an uninvolved editor look into your request. Thank you for respecting Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. • ...there is incomplete information available comparing these services, making it tough for people to make informed decisions. GermanJoe is correct, in that Wikipedia is WP:NOTBROCHURE for readers to use in making informed decisions about what neobanks to involve themselves in. That is the purview of the neobanks themselves, which they are free to do so using their own web portals for delivering that information — the links to which, are shown on each neobank's Wikipedia article. In turn, each of those articles are accessible to readers of the present article via Wikilinks placed within each neobank's name.

Proposed merge of Challenger bank with Neobank edit

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To not merge, on the grounds that the topics are distinct; no consensus for any other action. Klbrain (talk) 15:06, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Refers to the same concept, articles overlapping in large part — kashmīrī TALK 04:10, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I oppose this merge. The referencing of this article is very poor, contributing only one reliable source for the term "neobank". If further reliable sources can be added to this article I could change my mind.  — Scott talk 20:49, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - infact opposite should be done. Störm (talk) 09:32, 11 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean by "opposite"? The proposal does not specify which of the two should be merged into which one, so your oppose is unclear. — kashmīrī TALK 12:05, 11 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - At least in their current form,
  1. Challenger banks look like a too UK-centric concept, while "neobank" appears to have a wider international adoption.
  2. Challenger banks have been around for longer, while a "neobank" is specifically defined to be an online-only bank. Thus, a more constrained concept.

  • Oppose I honestly can't see 'neobank' ever gaining traction with the general public, where as 'challenger bank' already has, at least in the UK and Europe, and particularly as the Bank of England uses the term 'challenger'.Lighteater (talk) 06:53, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Declined: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Donna Spencertalk-to-me 19:44, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Add a Neobank From India edit

Hi Admin,

I am new here to Wikipedia. I wish to discuss with you adding a neobank from India, which is the Asia's First Neobank. But still in the list I haven't seen it.

Adding variables sources for your reference. This medium is to pass informations to people and we have to do it.

Razorpay is also entering into the neobank platform and after getting reliable source link I will update you Dhoni.csk (talk) 09:50, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Admin,

I am here to say a suggestion what I thought. It will be a huge advantage for users if the list of neobanks in world is shown in the page. So they will get a idea which all are the neobanks available right now. In current scenario many fake companies are coming and if we provide the list it will be helpful. Dhoni.csk (talk) 05:59, 19 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nothing prevents fake companies from adding themselves to the list and staying there until somebody catches them, and it's unlikely that the list will stay 100% current with real banks, so nobody ought to be using Wikipedia to establish whether something calling itself a neobank is real.
