This article teeters on the edge of two, if not more, WP sins:

Self-promotion and/or advertisement.
Lack of independent reliable references.
Lack of notability.

The UKA is a somewhat obscure body; its web-site gives few details, and in general it does not satisfy the need for independent verification of claims in WP articles like this. In contrast, the ISTD and IDTA provide every kind of information about their professional work. I've trimmed some of the worst abuses in the article, but still doubts remain. Maybe I'd best be crystal clear: my doubts are not about the subject's capabilities, but about whether the article adequately fits WP standards as an article. Later, I discover (Independent, 20 Feb 1999, "The fight for the soul of salsa") that the UKA had planned to introduce a syllabus for salsa ten years ago, but were thwarted by strife between groups of salseros. The UKA has awarded honourary Fellowships to three leading salsa dance teachers, and one of them is Nelson Batista. Macdonald-ross (talk) 17:44, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Later still, I discover this from the UKA: "We also staged the first ever British Salsa Championships, organising 50 heats throughout the U.K., and sending two couples to represent the U.K. at the World Championships in Miami". Be good to have details: time, place, dates, prize-winners, who the two couples were... Macdonald-ross (talk) 06:40, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
