iw: heh, this "Naukograd" - same that Technopole )) --Tpyvvikky (talk) 09:50, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Unoffical vs official
editPlease clarify what exactly this phrase means.
The first town to be officially made a "Naukograd" in 2000
Before that the article spoke about Soviet Union. Was this term used in Soviet times? In what sense? certainly, secret cities were not known as "naukograds": they were secret, weren't they? So some parts of this article better suit for a tabloid, (like, "slave labor" phrases (removed)), rather than for encyclopedia. mikka (t) 18:26, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Slave labor
editAfter some tweaking of the intro, the Gulag phrase does not look sensationalist, and I will not object, although the quoted reference is not authoritative. I am well aware that Gulag labor was used in their construction; just as it was used in thousands of other locations in the Soviet Union. I will think how to non-obtrusively say this in the article, otherwise it looks like something: "Whoah! They were so secret that they were built by slaves! (Did they slaughter the builders in the best traditions of Dark Ages?)" mikka (t) 20:23, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Sounds fine to me. —thames 22:12, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Uhhh... sources?
editMaybe I'm getting mixed up here but I can't see a single source on this page what so ever, and it makes some rather grandiose claims. 78.69.180.157 (talk) 19:35, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
