links among related San Miguel County NRHP articles edit

Hey this may just be a note to myself, as I don't know if anyone else will notice this. But I want to note that, for many of the 102 NRHPs listed in San Miguel County (most of which are places in Las Vegas, NM, many of which were all listed in 1985 as part of one study/survey), the NRHP documents often refer to other NRHP documents, which suggest links among articles would be helpful, or even mergers of articles might be helpful. But the references tend to cite building numbers in a New Mexico state series, rather than giving the NRHP listing name or NRHP reference number, so it is not immediately easy to determine which other article to link to.

For example, for House at 1116 Columbia, at 1116 Columbia Avenue in Las Vegas, New Mexico, NRHP-listed in 1985, the NRHP document is abbreviated on the basis that coverage/context about the neighborhood (the Sulzbacher and Rosenwald Addition) is already given in a different NRHP document, one for "Building #1559" in the State Survey series. The 1116 Columbia house is itself Building #1595 in the state series. It is likely/probable that #1559 is NRHP-listed, but if so I don't know which it is, of the articles indexed from this list-article, so I can't link to it yet, and I can't include stuff about the neighborhood from the other NRHP document into the 1116 Columbia article.

It would be good for me (or you?) to create all the remaining articles, and/or to go through all the articles and their NRHP documents, in order to find and make all the suitable connections. I.e. go through all of the articles county-wide, or just all of the Las Vegas ones, or just the subset of 1985 ones.

A lesser effort could be just to note specific connection issues here and to fix them over time. --Doncram (talk) 16:25, 25 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
