Red link farm edit

This article is painful to look at, as almost every word of it is a red link. Beeblbrox (talk) 22:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've reverted your wholesale red link removal. These links are valuable to members of WP:NRHP as they tell us which sites need articles. Since NRHP sites are inherently notable, they are all worthy of WP articles. The following quotes come directly from WP:RED:

Sometimes it is useful in editing article text to create a red link to indicate that a page will be created soon or that an article should be created for the topic because it would be notable and verifiable

Good red links help Wikipedia — they encourage new contributors in useful directions, and remind us that Wikipedia is far from finished.

I've heard all that before, but seriously, this whole article is nothing but red links.. I wasn't trying to suggest that these articles shouldn't be created, just that With the list being normal text, you can at least read it without getting a headache, and you can still see that they do not have their own articles. As a guideline, WP:RED also states " it should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception." and that is what I was doing. Beeblbrox (talk) 06:11, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
The article is expressly a list, not regular prose. These lists of historic places were created for the purpose of generating articles. Thankfully, your "common sense" is relatively uncommon and most wiki editors have a clearer understanding of when to keep and when to remove red links. If you find red links so disturbing, there is a relatively simple solution -- edit your CSS to display redlinks as normal text. olderwiser 10:57, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Suggested merger edit

There is, IMO, no need to have a separate Iron County MRA when the properties listed there are all on this list. Anything textually unique to that article can probably be added into this one. See discussion at Talk:Iron County MRA. Daniel Case (talk) 22:56, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
