Talk:Multiple major sports championship seasons

Other Professional Teams/Leagues edit

Since this about North American sports (as stated at the top of the article), should CFL teams be included? There are occasions of CFL and NHL teams winning championships in the same year. (76.65.206.240 (talk) 17:56, 11 February 2010 (UTC))Reply

Page does not include Detroit Tigers 1935 World Championship. Giving the city 3 championships in one year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.224.131.110 (talk) 03:18, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011 not in 2013. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.13.36.244 (talk) 02:29, 23 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ambiguity in the word Season edit

Since the NHL and NBA seasons span a large portion of two years, talking about a certain season during any given year doesn't make any sense. What should be done instead is to list the teams that have held multiple championships simultaneously. For instance, the Yankees won MLB on Oct-8-1927, Giants won NFL on Dec-19-1927, and the Rangers won NHL on Apr-14-1928. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.246.26.44 (talk) 23:42, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Another instance of the above happened in 2008, after the Boston Red Sox won the 2007 World Series and the Boston Celtics the 2008 NBA Finals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Richiev02301 (talkcontribs) 04:49, 11 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

What if dates were added so once could see Oct. 2007 to June 2008 as within a 12-month window? 128.197.244.160 (talk) 18:55, 17 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

In need of major revision and clarification edit

This list makes no sense in the other leagues section. Including only SKC's Open Cup while Chicago and New England would qualify on the list also, and including an AHL championship for Cleveland, but not for Chicago (counting USOC and AHL, 1998 for Chicago would be the Fire twice, Bulls and Wolves)... the AHL clearly isn't a top level league, so what is the boundary? Do the Windy City ThunderBolts and Joliet Slammers factor in, or the Kane County Cougars? This list will never be comprehensible this way... Jackson Scofield (talk) 19:45, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

"Calendar year" section and 2018 Boston edit

This shouldn't count because the Red Sox was late 2018 and the Patriots was early '19 and any other Super Bowl championship listed that's based on the season year rather than the actual calendar year it was won. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.249.102.4 (talk) 19:21, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
