The result of the move request was: not moved. Absolutely nobody believes that the Wisconsin town is primary, and there is no consensus on whether the tree deserves a primary redirect. (closed by non-admin page mover)Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 17:41, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

MukwaMukwa (disambiguation) – This previously redirected to Mukwa, Wisconsin. I believe that is still the primary target of Mukwa. Dab should be moved and prior redirect restored. Note that there is a hatnote on Mukwa, Wisconsin and this is a case of a PT with WP:ONEOTHER, so this dab is probably not even necessary. MB 19:42, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose MukwaMukwa (disambiguation) and support all remaining proposals within the nomination, including deletion of the unnecessary Mukwa disambiguation page. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:11, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. A tiny American town of 2,000 people whose article gets barely one view per day, is the primary topic over the apparently widely used tropical timber trees? If web search results are anything to go by, the trees are the clear primary topic, but redirecting to Pterocarpus won't be optimal, because 1) that article may eventually get overloaded with hatnotes, and 2) if the dab remains at the base title, we'll at least be sure there won't be any bad links for the other topic, and we will that way also get some usage data via the Wikinav, which can inform future decisions.– Uanfala (talk) 17:41, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
If the tree is the PT, then the dab should be moved and Mukwa redirected to the tree. However, when I search with google, or click on your link to DDG, I see only places in Wisconsin. Search results are biased towards the location of the searcher. MB 04:43, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
True. For me, when I type in "mukwa" in the UK, I get the tree. The C of E God Save the King! (talk) 06:49, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
On DDG (as in the link above), there's a toggle at the top of the screen where you can tell it to display results for all regions, not just the one you're in. – Uanfala (talk) 18:39, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose the plant has 1,514 views compared with only 31[[1]] for the place and most Google, Images and Books seems to be for the plant. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:43, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Pageviews is meaningless, you have no idea how people found the page. If they typed in Pterocarpus, or another common name besides Mukwa, or clicked a link from another article - then they were not looking for Mukwa. MB 04:43, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose but note Mukwa (India) S. S. L. Malhotra Gangotri and Gaumukh: A Trek to the Holy Source 1983 p84 "Mukhwa is supposed to stand on the site of the ancient hermitages of Mathanga Maharishi and Maharishi Markandaya" In ictu oculi (talk) 17:37, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
In ictu oculi, Mukwa (being discussed here) is a different term from Mukhwa. Your quote appears to be about a place in Uttarakhand called मुखवा (anglicised as Mukhawa on Google maps). The redirect you've just created, Mukwa (India), lacks the h, and targets List of state highways in Chhattisgarh, which mentions (within an apparently unsourced table) the few dozen settlements that those highways pass through, and one of them is Mukhwa; that places is मोखा (anglicised as Mokha on Google Maps). I take it you haven't seen either of those two places being referred to as Mukwa? In that case, you can easily have that redirect deleted by using {{db-g7}}. – Uanfala (talk) 18:37, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oppose a small town in Wisconsin is unlikely to be the primary topic for this search term. Natg 19 (talk) 06:35, 30 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
