No marketing please edit

I feel a general note is needed: Wikipedia articles may be edited by anyone; they do not have administrators or official editors, least of all "Marketing Coordinators" who may have a conflict of interest. (See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.) Rcawsey (talk) 18:04, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Established" Date edit

I have edited MRU's "established" date to reflect the date at which the institution became a University, which, as I understand it, is September 3, 2009; the December 1910 date is clearly too far back. This is consistent with the understanding of the term employed on the University of Calgary Wikipedia page, which gives an "established" date of 1966. I attempted to differentiate between "established" and "incorporated" in the university info boxes on the right side of the both pages, so that I could give dates of 1910 and 1906 for the former, and 2009 and 1966 for the latter, which I feel is fair, but apparently you can't add new categories to those info boxes, or at least I can't. If anyone else can begin doing that, I think it would be a good idea to begin the practice here, and continue on with it on other pages. I removed the 1910 founding year as challenged. For it to be reinserted we need a source to cite. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:35, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Applied Degree/ Business edit

Ryerson University which was first a a polytechnic, offered applied business degrees since the early 1970s. It had one of the largest business schools in Canada until the late 1990s.Dont know the current size.

Removed content edit

This article has been tagged for 5 years as having promotional content. I just deleted everything here which was not backed by a citation to a third-party publication. Here is the article as it was before if anyone wants to use that as a point for research for finding sources.

A suggestion came in by WP:OTRS at ticket 2017020110001961 that someone felt the article was not complying with Wikipedia rules, which it was not. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:35, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
