Per request, I added a photo from the top of Pilchuck I took a few years ago. It would be better to have a photo of of the mountain rather than from its summit. But I thought I'd add this one for now. If anyone has a photo of the mountain, please replace! Pfly 04:04, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Most similarly small mountains in the Cascades would rank low importance, but I figured this might make it to mid for a couple reasons. First, it's got more history than most, being the site of a fire lookout and also long ago, a ski resort with a lift and everything. Second, and more importantly, Pilchuck is the dominant peak on the horizon from many areas between Seattle and Mount Vernon (especially Everett and Marysville) because it is so far west and so distinct from its neighbors. Mountain article has no geology section
