Talk:Minnesota Transportation Museum

Latest comment: 5 years ago by 73.88.26.127

This page reads like a marketing piece for the museum, with uncited references to “four star” service on the dinner train and quotes from unnamed patrons about the wonders of the repair facility at the roundhouse. While I’m a supporter of the museum, those and other items don’t seem to be in keeping with Wikipedia standards.

In December 2004 the Como-Harriet and Excelsior streetcar lines were spun off to form the Minnesota Streetcar Museum. This page should be updated to include that information and a new page for the MSM should be starterd with all the streetcar information. Details can be found at both organizations' websites (http://www.trolleyride.org and http://www.mtmuseum.org) Sorry I don't have time to do this right now. Likewise, the steamboat Minnehaha group left MTM in December of 2004, forming the Museum of Lake Minnetonka. See their website (http://www.steamboatminnehaha.org/index.htm) for more information. a.w.stephens 10:10, 03 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
