Odd that this important class has not had a page before.

Baxter puts all these in one class (2606) and Summerson splits into 2606 and 2781 (the last 3 groups), but Essery and Jenkinson split into 6. I have compromised on 4 groups, the differences between 2781 & 820 and between 850 & 860 are only small details. In fact the tenders seem to show more differences than the actual locomotives.
