Thomas Leo Egan aka Tommy Egan. October 30th 1924-February 3rd 1996

Tommy was inducted in The Veterans Association Hall of Fame. Fought the Welter Wieght world champ on the 1940's. Fought with i ne eye his wholw career until they caught it. He was ca)ed "another Lunny" in his Golden Glove years, which must have meant he was a budding champ. He negotiated with the owner of an old Barn on 18th and Texas streets in the Potrero District where he lived his whole life, to let him start a Gym to teach boxing to the boys. In the hopes of keeping them out of trouble in his teen years. This man was loved and respected his whole life
